This work is the third in a hand crafted edition of ten. It is made from a long scroll of heavy rag paper. Silhouettes of clothing are hand cut into the paper which is then folded and glued. The order of the silhouettes correlate to the way we layer the clothing we wear. A trench coat forms the outer layer while a t-shirt and a pair of briefs delineate the inside edge. The resulting configuration allows the viewer to to peer through four progressively smaller openings toward a thin sheet of pink skikibu paper. This paper floats within the final frame, casting a warm glow throughout.
